New Wines

Four New French Wines Have Landed!

We are in the process of adding a few new wines to our import lineup, and four of those wines are already here!

A red blend and a rosé from Château Clamens landed on our shores in late April, and we are busy getting these wonderful bottles stocked with our distributors. And last week we received our latest shipment with two delicious new red blends from Château de Fontenelles

The ruby color of Château Clamens Rouge avows the vibrant fruity nature of this delicious red blend.

The unique terroirs of the Clamens vineyards near Toulouse, France, feature sandy loam and clay soils where the region's native grape, the Négrette, thrives. When poured, aromas of fresh, ripe fruit delight the nose. The palate is complex, driven by flavors of black current and blackberry, opening into soft tastes of violet and a hint of liquorice.

The lovely Château Clamens Rosé is light and delicate in color, which belies its lush flavor. This wine also is crafted from Négrette, the region's native grape.

The combination of the sandy loam and clay soil of the old terraces along the Tarn river produce an elegant wine, bursting with flavors and aromas of black fruit, violets and a touch of spiciness. The wine is lively on the palate throughout, with a refreshing citrus-driven finish.

The 40-hectare Domaines de Fontenelles estate in Alaric in the Cobières AOP of France has been in the family for five generations, and husband and wife team Thierry and Nelly pour their hearts and souls into producing Chateau de Fontenelles’ award-winning wines. The varied terroir of the Cobières region creates flavorful and complex blends that are a sheer delight to drink.

A lush red blend, Notre Dame brings a nose of black currant and fresh pine needles. The fruit is strong in this wine, revealing flavors of strawberry, blackberry and stewed fruit. The palate is broad and bold, but elegant, with a long finish and soft, silky tannins.

Château de Fontenelles Renaissance is a bold and elegant red. The wine's deep garnet color hints of the intense nose and flavors of fresh and cooked dark fruits. The subtly wooded vintage blossoms with discreet balsamic notes as it opens.

All four of these stunning wines will soon be hitting the shelves in your area. Can't find them? Check with your local distributor to find out if they are carrying them.

Please keep an eye on this page. We will debut more information about incoming new wines as they arrive.
